Homestay: This is an optional programme for those of you who prefer to learn English in a less formal environment. Families are carefully chosen by the school director as it is important that the children are warmly welcomed and fully immersed into daily activities of family life. They generally live in rural locations and many offer the option of joining their own children at local summer/sports camps. This programme is ideally suited for under 18 year olds, however some homestay families are able to accommodate mums and dads too!
Farmstay: this programme allows international students to experience life on a small rural farm in Ireland. Like the Homestay programme these families are carefully selected by the school director ensuiring childrens' parents that they will be in warm, safe secure envirnment. They have the opportunity to help out with gentle farm work duties such as collecting eggs, feeding animals, harvesting vegetables, digging the garden, baling hay etc. English lessons by a visiting Tutor can be arranged if requested and a full needs analysis of the student can be carried out prior to arrival.
